SparkleCopy Privacy Policy
How the current development preview accesses the clipboard, stores local data, and uses optional system permissions.
1. Scope and maintainers
SparkleCopy is a macOS clipboard utility from Sparkle, maintained by 唐梓耀 / AdrianSparkle and 丁铭 / EliasSparkle. This policy describes the current app’s actual behavior. The website, Apple services, and other services you choose have separate processing scopes.
2. Clipboard and file access
Recording starts off. After you enable it and macOS allows access, the app reads supported text, links, images, and file references when the clipboard changes, for local history, categories, search, previews, and copying. The current polling interval is 0.7 seconds; capturing every rapid change is not guaranteed. macOS 15.4 and later require ongoing clipboard access to be allowed for continuous recording.
Items marked sensitive or transient are skipped, but unmarked private information cannot all be identified. This is not a password-filtering guarantee. File entries store references and read-only security-scoped bookmarks without copying or deleting originals. Later access still depends on file location and system permissions.
3. Local storage and removal
The library is stored locally in the app’s Application Support/SparkleCopy/library.json and includes history, snippets, favorites, groups, and preferences. Images may be embedded, with an 8 MB item limit and a 64 MB JSON library limit. The current library uses JSON without app-managed library encryption. Disk encryption, backups, and system diagnostics are governed by macOS and your settings.
Ordinary history defaults to 200 items and 30 days, with count and age limits applied on the next capture. Favorites and snippets are retained during ordinary-history cleanup. Clearing ordinary history removes neither originals nor favorites or snippets, which are managed separately. Pausing recording does not erase existing content.
4. Optional permissions and controls
Clipboard access depends on system permission. Optional global double-press Command or Option shortcuts may need Input Monitoring solely for modifier states and shortcut triggering. Ordinary combination shortcuts do not depend on it. The app does not use this feature to record typed text and does not use Accessibility to type or paste automatically.
Login startup is managed by macOS. Menu bar visibility, shortcuts, recording sound, recording, and retention are your choices. Pause recording, manage permissions in System Settings, or quit to stop the app.
5. Network, external services, and contact
The current app has no account, telemetry, advertising SDK, cloud sync, or in-app automatic updater and does not automatically upload the library or clipboard. When you open a website, paste into another app, or send support email, the recipient processes information under its own rules. Website hosting may receive IP addresses, requests, and browser information; local app processing does not mean the website has no network records.
Contact sparklebossletter@outlook.com with only the necessary version and issue details, after removing clipboard content, passwords, and private files. The document URL in the current app project is not configured yet; this website’s documents work independently.
6. Changes and limits
This description is based on verified behavior and the current 1.0.0 development-preview source. Later versions that add recipients or processing capabilities should update it accordingly. The library is not a backup or password vault, and local storage is not an unconditional security guarantee. Use the support email above for privacy questions.

SparkleCopy Terms of Service
Understand availability, operation boundaries, and content responsibilities before using the current development preview.
1. Current availability and scope
The current project is a 1.0.0 development preview. Like SparkleShot, it is preparing for Mac App Store distribution and has no public download yet. No store date, pricing, subscription, or unfinished capability is promised here. macOS 15 or later is required; actual use also depends on permissions and the device environment.
2. Content and operation
Record and use only content you are entitled to handle, respecting privacy, confidential information, and intellectual property. Pause recording or choose suitable handling before working with passwords, verification codes, financial information, or work data. Sensitive-marker filtering cannot make that judgment for you.
After copying an item, return to the destination app, paste manually, and check the recipient. Plain-text, line-break-removal, and space-removal options change content; review it before sending or submitting. The app does not provide automatic typing or submission.
3. Storage, access, and preview limits
History is not a backup. Retention limits apply to ordinary history; file references can break when originals move, are deleted, or lose permission. Keep originals and necessary backups yourself. Clearing ordinary history retains favorites and snippets, which are managed separately.
Project tests and a local build do not establish store approval, validation on every system version, or Intel hardware testing. Permissions, clipboard types provided by other apps, and device conditions can affect behavior. Capturing all content or uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
4. Updates, support, and statutory rights
Use the effective terms supplied with the version and distribution channel you actually receive. Future capabilities, charges, or service conditions require separate clarification and are not assumed here. Contact sparklebossletter@outlook.com with necessary details after removing sensitive information.
These terms do not exclude non-excludable consumer rights or shift all statutory responsibility to users. Responsibility and disputes remain subject to applicable law and effective agreements.

SparkleCopy Software License
The boundaries between original software, user content, and system frameworks.
1. Original software and branding
Copyright © 2026 Sparkle. All rights reserved. Rights in original SparkleCopy code, interface, name, icon, and website materials are reserved. This page does not declare the whole app open source or automatically grant rights to copy source, sell derivative software, or use its branding.
2. Lawful acquisition and conditions
This page describes the current preview’s licensing boundaries and does not provide a public software download or new distribution permission. Actual use follows the effective agreement supplied with a lawfully obtained version and applicable law. If later distributed through the Mac App Store, Apple’s applicable rules and the effective EULA used for that distribution apply separately. Pending release does not establish pricing, license duration, or commercial entitlements.
3. User content and files
Rights in text, images, files, and other content remain with their respective holders. Saving history, referencing files, or creating snippets does not transfer ownership to Sparkle or grant users redistribution rights beyond their existing permission.
4. Current dependencies and independent rights
The verified project contains no third-party code-package or SDK dependencies. CopyCore is an internal project module. The app uses native Apple frameworks on macOS, whose rights and platform terms remain with their respective holders. No third-party open-source license is invented here, and system frameworks are not relicensed. Any future third-party components should carry their actual applicable licenses and notices.
Conduct expressly permitted by law and independent permissions of future components are not reduced by reservations concerning original software. Contact sparklebossletter@outlook.com about team distribution, commercial cooperation, or original-source licensing, explaining the intended scope.
